The Durst Tau RSC E 330LM label printing system was presented for the first time at Labelexpo 2019 in Brussels, where it operated throughout the exhibition with the new improved Low Migration UV inks, attracting the attention of visitors. The Durst Tau 330 RSC E UV inkjet system combines industrial productivity with unmatched print quality and efficiency. The press uses state-of-the-art Durst RSC technology. The resolution of the 1200x1200 dpi print heads combined with the smallest drop size of 2pl provides photo-like print quality, delivering fine letter from 1 time. With the high printing speed of 52m/min the production capacity can reach 1020m2/hour. In addition, the white color can be used at the full speed of 52m/min.

In the software area, the printer is equipped with Durst solutions, with which all its printers are now equipped: Durst Workflow Label, complete workflow software from the beginning image manipulation service to for overall statistical monitoring of production: Durst Analytics. Production data can feed into the customer's MIS/ERP system, and can be linked to the online ordering system (Durst Smart Shop) creating a complete and efficient software system – the Durst Software Ecosystem. The Tau RSC 330LM prints with the low migration and low odor Durst Tau LM (Low Migration) inks. These inks are specially designed for printing on primary food packaging. They can be used for self-adhesive labels for food, cosmetics, medicine packaging (blister) and special packaging such as aluminum lids or small paper cans.



The inks are approved for food packaging, according to EuPIA guidelines and the Swiss Ordinance. Tau low migration inks do not contain substances expressly excluded from Nestle's packaging ink specification. The migration results were validated by an independent external testing institute. For applications with low-migration inks on plain film, such as blisters, aluminum foil, aluminum caps or heat-sensitive printing materials, the Tau RSC 330LM can be equipped with an optional cooling unit which lowers the temperature of the printed films for the solidification process of ink. To meet the demands of the food and pharmaceutical industries, which require odorless prints, an optional inert gas system eliminates odor from UV inkjet inks. The inks are available in the following colors: The basic CMYK, Orange and White, with Blue soon to be added.
