Attempt to analyze the above dangerous because every analysis hides the risk of distortion let's take it for granted that the artist's tools are the lie with the aim of the inner truth and the dialogue with the inner monologue as a starting point. The scientist detects the truths of the world. Lying to him can only be a mistake. The artist on the other hand makes something that would not exist without him. But the only truths he can use as raw material are the truths of the existing world which he accepts as a basis for work. The artist places himself in the position of the creator and takes the truths of this world in order to make a truth according to him which logically can only be a lie since only something that actually exists is true.

The creation of this new world cannot take place in a vacuum nor can it use the e-commerce photo editing codes and languages of the true world it is coming to transcend. It needs its own context. Which is none other than the world of art the artists and the works that preceded it. But this is another truth that the artist wants and must use but at the same time he must refute it in order to give birth to his own artistic proposal. The constant transition from lie to truth and from acceptance to subversion constitutes the necessary background for the artist's dialogue with himself but also with the content and form of his works. The lie of the subjective world converses with the truth of the objective world content. But on the other hand what the artist admires in art are those that will support him while at the same time capturing him form.

The truths of the world and art must give way to the personal lies he wants to build. Truth in art is nothing but the authenticity of the artistic lie and the authenticity of the artistic dialogue. These virtues if any will be imprinted within the work of art by recommending its own truth. The complexity of this process guarantees its mystery and consequently the duration of its fascination. No one will ever be able to define the truth since it will always be defined in relation to the lie that gave birth to it. I read with great interest as always the column next to mine by the distinguished Heraklis Papaioannou where in the previous Photographer he mentioned apainter Edvard Munch which was adopted and repeated by the contemporary painter and photographer David Hockney.
