Essentially, a UAE phone number is considered valid after two major steps: one, that the number is in a correct format, and two, that the number is active and functional. Several ways to check the validity of a UAE phone number include a basic format check, where one can make use of online services and direct calls.

1. Format Check
First, a UAE phone should have the correct format for its verification. Generally, UAE phone numbers are of two categories: mobile and landline numbers, each with a different structure:

Mobile Numbers: The UAE mobile numbers usually consist of 9 digits, starting with one of the following prefixes: 050, 055, 056, 057, and 058 for Etisalat, while for Du they are 052, 054, 058, and 056.
Landline number: The landline numbers usually start with an area code identifying the region in which one is situated, such as Abu Dhabi, and so on. In itself, the landline number contains 7 digits.
When the number does not seem to fit any UAE Phone Number Data of the above-mentioned patterns, then it is most likely that the number is invalid.
Moving on to the second method of verification through online tools:
Different web tools or services are available for the verification of a UAE phone number. These online tools normally verify whether the number format is correct, sometimes whether it is assigned to a certain network provider, and whether in service.

Some of these websites provide number validation services where the number is checked against whether it is currently registered with a network provider in the UAE. Such tools, many a time, identify the number as to whether it is a mobile or landline and also the specific area or provider.

3. Call the Number Directly
The easiest way to check a UAE phone number is to try calling it. If the call goes through and someone or voicemail answers, it means that the number is both valid and active. In cases of an invalid number, the call will more than likely not connect, and an error message may be received with messages such as the number not being in service or the number does not exist.

4. Contact the Service Provider
You can reach them by dialing the Etisalat/Du helpline if you have a number about which you are suspicious for any reason, whether in service or out of service. They might not give out personal details to one, but they will certainly confirm the status of a number.

Conclusion
Verify the correctness of a UAE phone number by ensuring that it is in the correct format for a mobile or a landline number. Further verification can easily be done using online tools and services or simply by calling the number to ensure it is active. If not sure, well, you might want to call the service provider.
